A middle-aged widow hires a young woman as an assistant and companion and she proves to be a valuable and attentive aide for the lonely widow. Unbeknownst to the widow, the young woman is working with her violent con-artist boyfriend in traveling across country, extorting money from their victims and murdering them to cover their tracks. Unfortunately, the widow discovers the true identity of her assistant and is forced to fight for her life against the brutal con-artist couple.
